Senior Business Associate – Supply Chain / Food

Your role at Gwynt
As a Senior Business Associate – Logistics & Supply Chain, you will have a leading role in strategic projects within the logistics industry. You will work for logistics service providers (LSPs), transportation companies, fulfillment parties and large-scale distribution and warehouse operations. The emphasis is on complex supply chain, operations and network issues and guiding major transformation projects.
You combine market knowledge with content expertise and change power and advise and guide clients in the areas of Strategy, Innovation and Transformation where you see through the people side of change and know how to give it the right attention.
Then, at the end of the day, there are always a number of topics that need development with the client. Think of: Network design, S&OP, inventory management, transport efficiency, warehouse orientation, automation, mechanization and digitalization (e.g. WMS/TMS, robotics, AI). Here the customer also finds in you an excellent sounding board.
In addition, you play an important role in developing new propositions within the logistics sector. With your carefully built up network within logistics and supply chain you work together With our commercial team to determine focus areas and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- You lead major change programs at logistics organizations, often starting with a quick scan in which you make pragmatic analyses and connect with employees on the floor.
- You will develop and implement a tailor-made improvement program, which you will execute for 9-12 months in close collaboration with management and operations.
- You switch effortlessly between warehouse or crossdock and the boardroom: one day you observe processes on site, the next day you spar with management about strategic choices.
- You will lead complex projects independently, including project, program and change management.
- You will build strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor making an impact both substantively and people-focused.

What do we expect from you?

In summary, we are looking for someone with:

Experience & expertise:
- Minimum 5-8 years working experience in supply chain or logistics (LSP) operations at strategic and/or tactical level.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex change or improvement projects at the strategic level.
- Knowledge of and interest In logistics automation, mechanization, robotics and AI applications.
- Experience met continuous improvement, lean six sigma and team development.
Personal & professional:
- An educationg at the academic level; Preferably in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, econometrics, engineering or technical business administration.
- Consulting experience is a plus; motivation to develop consulting skills is a must.
- A professional attitude and excellent communication skills (Dutch and English; other modern language is a plus).
- The ability to position yourself strongly, create movement, deal with resistance and work in service of the team.
- A commercial drive and energy to create opportunities with (potential) clients, experience in this is an advantage.
- You bring with you a relevant network.
