Your role at Gwynt

As a Senior Business Associate, you will have a leading role in strategic projects for companies operating throughout the food chain. This includes the production of raw materials, ingredients, private label and brands. The emphasis is on complex operational and supply chain issues and guiding major transformation projects.

You combine up-to-date market knowledge with substantive expertise and change power within the chain of food companies. You advise organizations through a sharp vision of their operational and supply chain activities and develop a roadmap for the coming years. Topics such as operational excellence, capacity, flexibility, make-or-buy, technology (mechatronics, robotization, AI), sustainability, logistics networks, S&OP and inventory management are central to this.

In addition, you play an important role in developing new propositions and customers. With your carefully built network within food, industry, retail and wholesale, you will work closely with the commercial team of Gwynt. Together you determine focus areas, sharpen your propositions and develop market opportunities.

  • You lead large change programs that often start with a quick scan, performing pragmatic analysis and quickly getting to the heart of underlying problems.
  • You will develop a tailor-made improvement or change program, which you will implement for 9-12 months in close collaboration with management and employees of our clients.
  • You switch effortlessly between the shop floor and the boardroom: one day you analyze processes on site, the next you spar with management about strategic choices.
  • You lead complex projects independently and play an active role in project, program and change management.
  • You will build a strong relationship with the client and serve as a trusted advisor.

A Senior Business Associate also actively contributes to the continued growth of Gwynt. With your vision, network and enthusiasm, you enjoy developing existing and new clients.

How do we expect from you?

In summary, we are looking for someone with:

Experience & expertise:

  • At least 5-8 years of working experience at the (operational) strategic level within food manufacturers or the broader industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex change or improvement projects at the strategic level.
  • Vision and experience with new technologies such as mechatronics, robotics/AI and a drive to further develop and share this knowledge.

Personal & professional:

  • An educationg at the academic level; preferably preferably business administration, econometrics, supply chain management, engineering or technical business administration.

  • Consulting experience is a plus; motivation to develop consulting skills is a must.

  • A professional attitude and excellent communication skills (Dutch and English; other modern language is a plus).

  • The ability to position yourself strongly, create movement, deal with resistance and work in service of the team.

  • A commercial drive and energy to create opportunities with (potential) clients, experience in this is an advantage.

  • You bring with you a relevant network.
