Medior Associate with expertise in Supply Chain Management

Gwynt is the consulting firm for the larger entrepreneurial (family) businesses in retail, wholesale, food and manufacturing. We are the strategic sparring partner at the moment when a breakthrough is needed.

The combination of hard (strategy, processes, content, project management) and soft (behavior, management, change management) makes us unique. Our approach is pragmatic and is not limited to just giving advice, realizing results is always paramount.

Your role at Gwynt

As a Medior Associate Supply Chain, you will work on challenging and multifaceted projects in which you are responsible for tangible results together with the client team. You are often in the middle of operations, but also have the overview to understand the complete end-to-end supply chain.

You can think of assignments such as:

  • Redesigning a food manufacturer’s ordering process and inventory management to enable growth ambitions and increase service levels.
  • Improving logistics operations at a retailer by making processes smarter and more responsive to customer demand.
  • Supervising a supply chain transformation at a logistics service provider with a turnover of over €300 million, focusing on both efficiency and customer focus.
  • Analyzing chain performance (from supplier to consumer) and developing concrete improvement proposals that can be implemented immediately.

In your role, you not only work on analyses and reports, but also bear responsibility for implementation and assurance. You are a sparring partner for the board and management, but also visible and involved in operations. You switch effortlessly between conceptual thinking and practical action.

In addition, you are actively involved in the further development of Gwynt. This means that you think along about new propositions, share knowledge within the team and contribute to the growth of our organization.

What does your workday look like?

No two days are the same. One day you are on the floor at a food producer to discuss with operators and planners where the process is stalling and what improvements can be made. Later that day you will be sitting in an MT meeting to calculate the impact of a new inventory policy and create support for the next step.

You have:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in supply chain management, operations or logistics.
  • Experience with at least one large-scale change or transformation project where you have seen how processes, systems and people come together in the field of supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of and experience with end-to-end supply chain issues: from the ordering process and physical flow of goods to delivery to the customer.
  • Already your first experience within line management and/or as a participant in an MT.
  • Experience within food or retail chain.
  • An academic level education; field of study preferably in engineering, econometrics or (technical) business administration.

Your character:

  • You feel at home at the board level as well as in the workplace
  • You are a conceptual thinker with an eye for detail
  • You are professional in your behavior and communication
  • You are precise and have a great sense of responsibility
  • You are curious, eager to learn and customer-oriented
  • You can handle resistance well

What do we offer you?

You can count on a close team of colleagues who are ready for each other and share knowledge and experiences. There is an open culture with plenty of room for entrepreneurship and self-development. We offer an instructive work environment with excellent career opportunities and a competitive benefits package, including a lease car.

An annual salary between €55,000 and 80,000 gross incl. Vacation pay with the possibility of earning a variable bonus is part of this. You can also advance further within Gwynt to a senior position, if it turns out that’s where your ambition and competence lie!
