Yvo held various financial, operational and management positions at organizations such as Hoogenbosch Retail Group, COOP Supermarkets and PLUS Supermarkets. In these roles he developed into a strategic thinker with a keen eye for returns, customer experience and organizational development.

In the years that followed, Yvo used his experience more broadly as an independent consultant. During those years, he advised and guided a variety of companies and independent entrepreneurs - from young start-ups and scale-ups to mature organizations facing new phases of growth or optimization. His assignments brought him into diverse kitchens, which gave him a broad perspective and a wealth of practical experience.

Yvo brings that experience to Gwynt's Retail & Wholesale team as Business director.

Yvo stands out for his highly developed business acumen and his ability to bring structure to complex processes. Not only does he enjoy thinking along about strategic issues and helping organizations formulate their vision clearly, he also enjoys translating that vision into concrete, practical, achievable steps. As a natural connector, he is empathetic and approachable, but also goal-oriented and decisive. He knows how to mobilize people and get organizations moving in order to achieve sustainable results together.

In addition to his work, Yvo is married and proud father of two sons. He has a green passion for gardening and can regularly be found on the tennis court. He also enjoys a good glass of wine and is actively involved as a board member in several local business and retailer associations - a role in which his love of retail and local involvement come together.
