Your role at Gwynt

As a Business Associate Retail at Gwynt, you will combine your experience in consulting with relevant business experience. You have a proven background in leading projects within the wholesale and possibly retail sector. You are at home in the dynamics of both clicks & bricks and pure online players.

You have extensive expertise in digitalization, online commerce, omnichannel and AI, and have a passion for strategically deploying technology in business processes. In addition, you translate technological innovations into tangible value for customers and the organization.

As an experienced professional, you will advise retail and wholesale clients through a keen vision of their operational activities and roadmap for the coming years. This includes issues of supply chain optimization, digitalization, omnichannel strategy, customer journey improvement, formula development, data-driven marketing, CRM, loyalty programs, digital campaigns, non-food innovation and sustainability.

  • You combine current market knowledge with relevant subject matter expertise and change power.
  • You act as a sparring partner for your clients’ management in developing long-term plans, strategic choices and transformations. You take initiative, come up with concrete solutions and are pragmatic in realizing improvements and tangible results.
  • You actively build the network with your colleagues, you are approachable and easily make contact with potential clients and like to invest in sustainable, long-term client relationships.
  • You have feeling with the Flemish/Belgian market and culture, you have a relevant network in Belgium and you contribute to the further growth of Gwynt in the Netherlands and Belgium.

A Senior Business Associate actively contributes to a culture of sustainable growth, collaboration and innovation within Gwynt, where you not only advise but also guide the implementation of improvements.

What do we expect from you?

We find it important that you make an impact with our clients and fit within our organization. Teamwork, empathy, result-driven, analytical thinking, people-oriented, pragmatism, ambition and eagerness to learn are key. In your daily actions, you are an example to others.

 

Experience & expertise:

  • Minimum 5-8 years working experience in retail and wholesale operations at strategic and/or tactical level.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex change or improvement projects at the strategic level.
  • A passion and vision for technolgy in business processes, think digital expertise in online commerce, omnichannel and AI
  • Experience with continuous improvement, lean six sigma and team development.

Personal & professional:

  • A college level education; preferably in business administration, retail management, econometrics, engineering or technical business administration.
  • Consulting experience is a plus; motivation to develop consulting skills is a must.
  • A professional attitude and excellent communication skills (Dutch and English; other modern language is a plus).
  • The ability to position yourself strongly, create movement, deal with resistance and work in service of the team.
  • A commercial drive and energy to create opportunities with (potential) clients, experience in this is an advantage.
  • You bring a relevant network (Netherlands & Flemish Belgium).
