Financial stability<\/h4>\n<p>The organization is solid enough to give the successor time to gain the trust of employees and stakeholders.<\/p>\n<h4>4. Growth potential in its own right<\/h4>\n<p>The business model is scalable; growing independently in the existing market(s) is realistic.<\/p>\n<h4>5. Broad family commitment &amp; professional governance<\/h4>\n<p>The entire family supports the choice and the governance house is in order (advisory board, shareholder agreement, role and decision-making clear).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Five weak arguments (duh better no family succession)<\/h3>\n<h4>&#8220;This is how we do this here&#8221; 1.<\/h4>\n<p>Tradition alone is not a strategic reason.<\/p>\n<h4>2. Family feud as a curtain call<\/h4>\n<p>Conflict does not automatically disappear as a new generation takes over.<\/p>\n<h4>3. Resistance from a proven external board<\/h4>\n<p>If a strong management team successfully runs the company, family change can undermine continuity.<\/p>\n<h4>4. The departing generation does not let go<\/h4>\n<p>Permanent interference (&#8220;founder&#8217;s shadow&#8221;) deprives the successor of room to grow.<\/p>\n<h4>5.
